Joseph Turvey is a London Based
menswear designer. He commenced his initial fashion studies
with a BA in Fashion Design in 2010. After gaining valuable
work experience with Katie Eary he decided to hone his
flourishing menswear skills, undertaking a Masters in
Menswear Design Technology at London College of Fashion
graduating with flying colours in February 2012. His MA
graduate exhibition in London's eclectic Victoria House in
Bloomsbury immediately attracted the attention of buyers and
press. Days later, his final collection with its combination
of traditional wearable tailoring techniques and
scene-stealing illustrations was the highlight of LCF's MA
catwalk show at the Victoria and Albert Museum, securing
Joseph significant press coverage from the likes of Vogue,
Dazed and Confused and Drapers.
Joseph was instantly snapped up on the night
of the MA Show by Vauxhall Fashion Scout, a leading platform
for London's emerging design talent, who spotted his
potential and offered him a unique chance to show at London
Fashion Week. Joseph then presented his AW12 collection on
the catwalk at VFS's "Ones to Watch" at LFW's Menswear Day
in February 2012 to a packed house in the Free Masons Hall
Covent Garden.
